Rover Transportation for Seniors and Medical Assistance

Rover is responsible for paratransit services in Coatesville and Chester County, which overseen by the Department of Human Services. The Rover community transportation service caters to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring medical assistance transportation. There are two types of Paratransit services; the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) and the Aging Shared Ride Program. Each program has its own specific guidelines and requirements. The Aging Shared Ride Program allows Senior citizens age 65 or older to ride Paratransit for a small fee from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Coatesville Train Station: Under Construction
Providing train routes from Harrisburg to Philadelphia in 2025
The new train station development in Coatesville is progressing with the completion of the streetscaping on 3rd Avenue in its first phase. The second phase will involve enhancing 4th Avenue as the primary route from Lincoln Highway to the new station. Similar to the improvements on 3rd Avenue, the enhancements on 4th Avenue will include various enhancements, along with the addition of a dedicated bike lane. The entire project began in January 2022 and will go through the spring 2025.
