To reserve a park pavilion for an event, contact the City Parks and Recreation Department at 610-384-0300 and submit a reservation request with the Finance Department. All events are subject to approval by the city. You may also contact the City for any permits, licensing, and necessary forms to plan an event.
Parking ticket disputes can be submitted in writing to the City of Coatesville Administration Office or through the online dispute form on the city’s website. Please advise, this form must be completed and submitted within 48 hours of issuance of parking ticket. If you would like additional information regarding parking tickets, costs, and fees, please review the ecodes for parking meters or parking regulations. - As of 2013, the City of Coatesville Police Department offers a FREE smart phone app, “CoatesvillePD Tips” providing citizens the ability to submit anonymous tips to the police department. This app can be downloaded free from your phone app store and used with Android and iPhone devices.

Street lights in the suburbs are owned and maintained by the municipality or by PECO. If a street light is out, please call the public works department and they will either repair the light or will notify PECO directly. You can register to vote in Coatesville by visiting the Chester County Voter Services website, where you’ll find voter registration information and forms. Visit the website at https://www.chesco.org/156/Voter-Services.
To apply for a building permit, visit the City of Coatesville Building and Codes Department and request the permit form(s) and application at City Hall from the hours of 9:00am – 4:00. The administrative offices are often closed from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. To access the forms for building permits online, visit Permits and Licensing on the City’s official website.

Vehicle registration renewals can be completed online or locally at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, or online through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation website. To renew online you will need your registration plate number, title number, insurance information, odometer reading, a valid credit card, and a printer. At the end of the transaction, you will be given the opportunity to print a receipt and a permanent registration credential. PennDOT will no longer mail a registration card for registrations renewed online. Residents can request a recycling bin by contacting the City of Coatesville Public Works at 610-384-0300 or by submitting a request form. Costs associated with this request may vary. For more information and services, visit the Public Works and Fee Schedule on our website.
To report a pothole on your street, contact the City of Coatesville Public Works Department at (610) 384-0300 or submit a compliant form to the Codes department. Additionally, PennDOT reminds motorists that potholes and other roadway concerns on state roads can be reported by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623) or visiting www.penndot.pa.gov and clicking on “Submit Concern.”
You can pay your PECO bill online by visiting the PECO website, logging into your account, and following the payment instructions provided.
